3 unknown benefits of having a poor result as a fresher in 100 level
Hi guys. Welcome to the latest school news update.
Not quite long, I started putting together various articles to address freshers so they don’t miss the way.
There are lots of stylites who derives pleasure in scaring the hell out of freshers just because things didn’t go as planned for them.
I’m here as a constant reminder that life in the university; though not easy, is not as difficult as it seems.
I wrote an article on how to get all A’s as a fresher.
Failure to do so doesn’t spell doom for you on your quest of graduating with a first-class degree.
I remember highlighting at the end of the article “mistakes freshers make in 100 level” that it’s far better to start poorly than end poorly. I’ll be explaining why I feel so here.
Have you indeed started poorly in the university? Had a bad grade? Or even probated? Worry no more, there are benefits that come with it if you don’t let failure weigh you down.
Without much ado, let me expose you to such benefits.

3 unknown benefits of having a bad result in the university
1. You realize your mistakes early enough
There is a high possibility that you can highlight how it all went wrong.
There is a saying that you can’t do the same thing twice and expect a different result.
The mistakes made are known and can now be avoided even as you proceed. Remember, knowing what needs to be done won’t change the outcome, doing what needs to be done will.

2. It brings out the fighting spirit in you
Ever failed and thought you can do better?
If that’s the case here, you’ll be more than motivated to give it your best shot as the next opportunity presented itself.
However, people define failure differently.
Someone could define it as having at least a carryover, another can be not having all A’s.
Whichever way you define yours, once you feel you can do way more, you will do more.
Never be satisfied with your present situation. There is always somewhere better.

3. Expectations are lowered
I’ve come across freshers who are eager to take their first semester exams and are like all courses is either an A or an A. Some will knowingly or unknowingly invite pressure to themselves.
With pressure comes mistakes/errors.
A little bad result does the trick. It keeps them humble, lower expectations and reduces pressure.
Now, they will be able to study with a clearer mind knowing that all results are indeed possible but still working hard enough to get the best grade with no added pressure on them.
Believe me, It’s easier to work behind the limelight.
Expectations lead to responsibilities that normally increases the pressure you place on yourself.
