DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Roses and bruises
She gets enough of both.
His Love is so tender,
But with his fury,
He is uncontrollable.
If only she could tame this dragon…
Every time she suffers from his anger,
He blames it on his temper.
Countless times she forgave him,
Countless times
He leashes out on her again.
She could’ve called for help,
But she trusted in the Lord.
For she believed in their love,
So she endured and hoped for better days.
Roses and bruises…
He had left bruises on her earlier that day
Now he is back with a rose in his hand,
He must beg sincerely for his mistakes.
But this time nobody will listen;
She won’t be able to hear him from a new world.
His roses were of no use to her now.
All he can do is save it for her funeral.
