Will NIN be used for JAMB 2021

NIN was introduced in JAMB 2020 examination but was eventually not used. However, come JAMB 2021 exam, get you NIN ready as it will be paramount for the 2021 JAMB UTME exam.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) said it will no longer register candidates who do not have the National Identity Number (NIN) for the upcoming Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

This is to say that in order for you to participate in JAMB UTME 2021 examination; you must have your NIN ready.

How much is JAMB 2021 registration form

As I mentioned, JAMB 2021 registration form is not yet. However, there is a great probability that JAMB 2021 examination form will be #3500.

This holds to the reason that last year JAMB (JAMB 2020) registration form was #3500.

Remember, #3500 is just the price for JAMB registration only. The breakdown of the total amount needed for JAMB registration is as follows.

How to register for JAMB 2021 examination

To register for JAMB 2021 examination,

Have a personal email address and mobile phone number
Create your JAMB profile
Jamb ePIN registration payment
Visit any accredited CBT centres with your personal details, the profile and evidence of payment.
The CBT centres or JAMB state office supplies at no extra cost, the prescribed reading text and the CD containing:
E-brochure showing guidelines on admission detailing the list of tertiary institutions and available program of study.
Syllabus (e-syllabus) for the examination.
Step by step guide on completion of the examination form.
A video message from the registrar of JAMB and a demo on how to use eight (8) keys for the UTME examination without mouse. (For candidates with little familiarity with computers).
Each candidate is to complete the online application form by supplying the required details such as name, e-mail address, L.G.A, academic qualifications, etc.
At the CBT centres, the candidate’s ten fingers biometric and image will be captured and uploaded.
O-level and/or A-level grades are to be provided by candidates. Candidates who are awaiting results should supply the result online as soon as the results are available on JAMB’s portal.
Each candidate is to collect his/her e-slip at the end of registration as evidence of registration.
There will be no offline registration, as all the accredited CBT centres have been empowered for real life online registration.

Note: No candidate should register at any centre other than the accredited CBT centres and JAMB state offices. Any candidate who is registered outside approved centres will be identified and disqualified.

When is JAMB 2021 registration closing?

Like it was mentioned earlier, the registration date for JAMB 2021 has not been made official. At that, we have not yet gotten the closing date for JAMB 2021 exam.

Where can I register for Jamb 2021?

In a bid to curb fake and fraudulent registration, JAMB registration can only be done at accredited computer-based test centres.

Like I mentioned earlier, this is to avoid exploitation, offline registration, mismatch of candidates particulars and other registration irregularities

What Novel will be used for JAMB 2021 exam

Not until JAMB 2021 registration commences, we don’t know the novel that will be used for JAMB 2021 exam. For some years now, sweet sixteen has been the novel JAMB uses.

Is JAMB 2021 mock exam compulsory

No!!! Jamb mock exam is not compulsory. So, any candidate can write it and any candidate can ignore it. No score from the JAMB mock exam is added to the main JAMB exam and neither are the JAMB mock exam marks added to the main JAMB exam result.

Common mistakes not to make in JAMB 2021 registration

It is very important to know some of the mistakes you have to avoid before going to fill your JAMB 2021 registration form.

Order of candidate’s name: You must ensure that your name complies with the exact name on your birth certificate, as well as your other important documents like your O’level result etc.
Choosing the University of choice: Doing this is quite easy, but many candidates still get it all wrong. HOW TO RECOVER LOST ePIN AFTER PAYMENT

If ePIN is not Received or Lost, send [UTMEPIN] or [DEPIN] to 55019 for UTME or DE respectively from the unique number
The ePIN would then be retrieved and delivered on the candidate’s unique number

AFTER SUCCESSFUL PAYMENT AND OBTAINING ePIN, CANDIDATE SHOULD PROCEED TO ANY OF THE JAMB ACCREDITED CBT CENTRES TO COMPLETE HIS/HER REGISTRATION.

REGISTRATION PROCESS AT CBT CENTRES

The candidate presents the ePIN at any JAMB accredited CBT Centre for completion of registration. The name of the candidate as typed by the candidate on his/her phone when registering the proﬁle comes up automatically on the input of the e-PIN by the CBT centre

Candidates are to:

Pay NOT more than N700 as Service Charge to the CBT Centre
Provide Biodata including Date of Birth, Nationality, State of Origin, Local Government, Gender, e-mail address, among others
Provide choice of institutions and programmes (disciplines)
Provide qualiﬁcation with grades and dates, if not awaiting result
Upload relevant certiﬁcates, if not awaiting result
O/L and or A/L grades are to be provided by candidates. Candidates who are awaiting results should supply the results online as soon as they are available on JAMB’s portal. No recommendations from any Institution will be considered by JAMB if the candidate has not supplied his/her result on the portal of JAMB
Supply JAMB registration number for previous institutional certiﬁcates for DE only
Provide UTME subjects and choice of examination town(s) for
- Mock examination (optional)
- Examination for UTME (actual examination)
Do picture capture (no scanning of passport photograph)
Do Biometric enrolment (ten ﬁngers)
Review entries and conﬁrm correctness
Print Registration Slip USING BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION
Collect, at no other cost, the reading text and CD
