Requirements
Direct Entry Requirements
Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and one of Zoology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Biology, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Geology, Economics and Health Science.
UTME Requirements
Five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and one of Geography, Physics and Economics.

Remarks
DIRECT ENTRY
(i) UNN accepts:
(a) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and any of Biology/Botany/Zoology/Agricultural Science. Economics, Physics Geography/Geology, Mathematics (Pure & Applied) in addition to the UTME requirements.
(b) ND/NCE/HND and Degree in Agricultural Science/Animal Health and related programs with a minimum of lower credit/merit in addition to UTME requirements.
(ii) OAU accepts:
(a) Two (2) `A’ Level passes in Chemistry and one of Zoology/ Botany/ Agricultural Science/ Biology, Mathematics, Physics, or Economics.
(b) HND/ND in Agriculture obtained at upper credit level from recognized Institution.
(iii) BENIN accepts ND upper credit/HND lower credit in any one of Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, and Cooperatives, Fisheries, Forestry & Wildlife Mgt., Geology, Advanced Microbiology, Food and Brewing Science, Science Laboratory Technology plus the UTME requirements. NCE merit in Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics plus the UTME requirements. Does not accept ‘A’ Level pass in Health Science.
(iv) DELSU accepts upper credit only. DELSU also accepts NCE credit in Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
(v) OOU accepts:
(a) credit in ND Agriculture into 100 level.
(b) ‘A’ Level pass in both Chemistry and Biology.
(iii) ND distinction, HND credit, NCE credit double major in Agriculture
(vi) IMSU accepts NCE credit, ND/HND Double major credit in Agriculture into 200 level of the programme.
(vii) UMUDIKE as in Agriculture.
(viii) MAKURDI accepts ND/HND/NCE in Agriculture, Agricultural Science and Education, Forestry, Home Economics, Food Science and wildlife along with the UTME requirements. Candidates with ‘O’ Level credit pass in only one of Mathematics and Physics must have ‘O’ Level pass in the other.
(ix) DELSU accepts ND/HND upper credit only.
(x) FUTO requires
a) At least two (2) ‘A’ level passes not below Grade C in Chemistry and any one of Zoology, Botany, Agricultural Science, Biology, Mathematics, Physics and Economics.
b) OND/HND at Upper Credit in Life Sciences.
c) First Degree in Life Sciences.
d) Very good passes in three JUPEB subjects namely Chemistry and any two (2) of Biology/ Agricultural Science, Mathematics and Physics. It does not accept NCE. Candidates must, in addition, meet the ‘O’ Level requirements.
(xi) UNIOSUN same as in Fisheries.
(xii) LAUTECH requires Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any of Physics/Economics /Geography.
(xiii) FUNAAB accepts:
(a) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and one of Zoology/Botany/Agricultural Science, Biology, Mathematics/Physics.
(b) HND/ND in Agriculture obtained at upper credit level from a recognized institution.
(c) NCE credit in Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics plus UTME requirements.
(xiv) LANDMARK accepts Two (2) A level passes in Chemistry and one of Zoology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Biology, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Geology, Economics and Health Science.
UTME
(i) MAKURDI and UMUDIKE accept ‘O’ Level pass in Physics.
(ii) DELSU accepts ‘O’ Level pass in English Language.
(iii) EBSU and OOU require ‘O’ Level credit pass in Physics.
(v) BENIN accepts Statistics and Further Mathematics. Also requires at least ‘O’ Level pass in Physics and ‘O’ Level pass in Biology for candidates with ‘O’ Level credit pass in Agricultural Science.
(vi) OAU does not require ‘O’ Level credit passes in Geography and Economics.
(vii) UNIOSUN same as in Fisheries.
(viii) UMUDIKE requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and any other Science subject. Also ‘O’ Level credit pass in Agricultural Science must be backed up with ‘O’ Level pass in Biology
(x) UNIOSUN requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in the SSC or its equivalent at not more than two (2)
sittings in line with the UTME requirements.
(xi) UNN accepts five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in subjects which must include English Language, Biology/or Agricultural Science, Chemistry and either Mathematics or Physics.
(xii) FUTO requires at least five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any other subject, in not more than two (2) sittings. At least a Pass is required in Physics.
(xiii) LAUTECH requires English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any of Physics/ Economics/Geography.
(xii) FUNAAB requires:
a) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
b) At least ‘O’ Level pass in Physics.
c) Candidates with ‘O’ Level pass in Biology must possess ‘O’ Level credit pass in Agricultural Science. Does not accept Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology.
(xiii) LANDMARK requires Chemistry and any two of Biology, Agricultural Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Economics.
UTME SUBJECTS
(i) OOU requires Chemistry and any two (2) of Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Agricultural Science and Geography.
(i) LANDMARK requires English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and Physics or Economics or any social science subject.
(ii) FUTO requires Chemistry, and any two (2) of Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics and Physics.
