Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or NCE in Biology, Zoology or Botany and one other Science subject

UTME Requirements

Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and two (2) other Science subjects.

UTME subjects

Biology and any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

DIRECT ENTRY

(i) OAU accepts ‘A’ Level pass in Zoology or Botany.

(ii) CALABAR accepts Chemistry and Mathematics/Physics

(iii) UNN accepts

(a) two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Zoology plus the UTME requirements.

(b) A degree in relevant programmes plus the UTME requirements, HND and NCE credit are acceptable.

(iv) IBADAN, EKSU and OAU do not accept NCE.

(v) UDU as for Botany, ILORIN as for Plant Biology

(vi) IMSU and ABSU – No Direct Entry

(vii) UYO accepts ND/HND in relevant programmes plus the UTME requirements.

(viii) LASU accepts Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Zoology plus ‘O’ Level pass in Physics.

(ix) UMUDIKE and AAU accept ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and one (1) from Biology/Botany/Zoology.

(x) MAUTY accepts HND lower credit in a relevant programme.

(xi) AAU accepts ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and Biology/ Zoology/Botany.

(xii) DELSU accepts ‘A’ Level passes to include Chemistry and ND upper credit in Science Technology

(xiii) IGBINEDION accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes to include Zoology and one (1) of Botany or Chemistry. Also accepts ND/HND lower credit in Biology, Food Technology or Botany.

(xiv) AAUA requires ‘A’ Level passes in both Chemistry and Biology.

(xv) EKSU accepts ‘A’ Level passes in both Chemistry and Biology. Also accepts ND upper credit in Biology/ Agricultural Science and Chemistry.

(xvi) LAGOS accepts Very good passes in the following three (3) JUPEB/A-level subjects: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

(xvii) IBADAN does not accept Agricultural Science as a Science subject.

(xviii) KBSUST accepts

(a) any two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science

(b) NCE in Agricultural Science.

(xix) ‘A’ Level pass in Chemistry or Mathematics will be an advantage but is not compulsory.

(xxi) BENIN in addition to the UTME requirements. requires

(a) two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Biology, Zoology and any other Science subject.

(b) ND upper credit/HND lower credit in Science Laboratory Technology, Food Technology

(d) NCE merit with credit in Biology or Zoology

(xxii) ILORIN accepts UTME qualifications plus a minimum of two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Biology and Chemistry.

(xxiii) SOUTHWESTERN and BOWEN same as in Microbiology.

(xxiv) ABU accepts Two ‘A’ level /IJMB passes which must include Biology or Botany or Zoology and Chemistry in addition to O/L requirements.

(xxv) WESTERN-DEL accepts;

(a) two (2) ‘A’ Level passes to include Botany, Zoology or Biology and any one (1) of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

(b) ND/NCE merit in relevant subjects

(xxvi) OSUSTECH – same as in Fisheries.

(xxvii) KWASU – Same as in Mathematics.

(xxviii) MAKURDI – Same as in Biochemistry.

(xxix) BAUCHI accepts IJMB/ ‘A’ Level passes in any three (3) of the following subjects Biology, Chemistry and any one (1) of Mathematics, Physics or Agricultural Science. ND lower credit in the following areas: Science Laboratory Technology Biology/Microbiology Option, Animal Health and Husbandry, and Food Science Technology. The candidate must also have the five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.

(xxx) RSUST in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements accepts:

(a) HND (Lower Credit) in relevant discipline.

(b) OND/ND (Upper Credit) in relevant discipline.

(xxxi) EUI accepts;

a) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Biology, Zoology or Botany and one other Science subject.

b) NCE/OND/HND with credit passes from a recognised institution in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements.

c) A very good passes in JUPEB in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

d) IJMB passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

(xxxii) FUTA requires;

a) ND at a minimum of upper credit level in Oceanography, Mineral Exploration, Mineral Resources Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, Meteorology, Marine Biology and Science Technology; or

b) ‘A’ Level or equivalent passes at one sitting with at least six (6) points in two (2) of the following subjects: Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.

(xxxiii) FED-OYE EKITI requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Chemistry and any one of Physics, Mathematics or Biology.

(xxxiv) BAYERO accepts IJMB, NCE – Minimum of B grade in the relevant subject combination, minus education in all programmes in the faculty of Life Sciences.

(xxxv) FED-LOKOJA accepts In addition to meeting the UTME Entry Requirements; Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes to include one (1) of Botany, Zoology, Biology or Chemistry; IJMB minimum of 8 points with passes in relevant subjects; NCE Credit pass in Biology and Chemistry; ND upper credit in Biological Science, Science Laboratory Technology or related programmes from a recognized institution; HND lower credit in relevant programmes from Accredited Tertiary Institutions; Degree (Third Class) relevant to the programme.

(xxxvi) PHC – For Animal and Environmental Biology accepts Two (2) A/level GCE or HSC or IJMB or JUPEB passes in Biology and any one of Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics including UTME entry requirements. OND (Upper Credit) in related Science disciplines including UTME entry requirements.

(xxxvii) FED-LAFIA accepts In addition to UTME requirements, DE candidates must have any of the following: IJMB: Minimum of 9 points in Biology and any two from Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics. ND: At least lower credit Wildlife conservation, Fishery, Science Lab. Technology or any other relevant discipline/HND. NCE: Merit in integrated science, Biology, agric. Science and any relevant subject. GCE Advanced Level with at least 2 credit passes in Biology/Zoology and any two of Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics.

(xxxviii) FED-KASHERE accepts Three ‘A’ Level passes in Biology and any other two of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology and Geography OR Minimum of 9 points in IJMB, 10 points in NCE with credit pass in the subject of specialization OR at least a Lower Credit pass in relevant Diploma.

(xxxix) FED-DUTSINMA accepts Two ‘A’ level passes in Botany/ Zoology/ Biology and Chemistry. ND/NCE with good grades in any relevant field.

UTME

(i) LASU requires Chemistry plus ‘O’ Level pass in Physics.

(ii) AAUA requires ‘O’ Level credit pass in Chemistry as the fifth (5^th) subject.

(iii) IMSU – As in Plant and Biotechnology. Requires ‘O’ Level pass in Physics.

(iv) IGBINEDION requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry plus Physics or any other Science subject.

(v) UNN requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes obtained at not more than two (2) sittings including Biology, English Language, Mathematics or Physics and Chemistry or its equivalent.

(vi) PHC – For Animal and Environmental Biology requires Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics.

(vii) BAUCHI, BENIN and ILORIN require ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. BENIN accepts ‘O’ Level credit pass in any Science subject in lieu of Physics.

(viii) OAU requires Physics or Chemistry.

(ix) CALABAR requires Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. UMUDIKE accepts ‘O’ Level pass in English Language

(x) MAIDUGURI accepts ‘O’ Level pass in English Language with ‘O’ Level credit pass in any of the Sciences.

(xi) RSUST requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

(xii) DELSU accepts Health/Science in lieu of Biology and does not require Mathematics.

(xiii) UMUDIKE same as in Botany.

(xiv) IMSU accepts ‘O’ Level pass in English Language.

(xv) IBADAN requires five (5) or six (6)’O’ Level credit passes at one (1) or two (2) sittings to include, English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any other Science subject except Agricultural Science.

(xvi) MAIDUGURI requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Chemistry and Physics/Geography.

(xvii) UYO requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics and Chemistry and may accept D7 in Physics.

(xviii) RENAISSANCE requires Geography.

(xix) KBSUST requires ‘O’ Level credit pass in Chemistry and accepts ‘O’ Level credit pass in Agriculture in lieu of Biology.

(xx) KSU and ABSU require five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.

(xxi) FED-LAFIA requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science.

(xxii) LAGOS requires Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

(xxiii) WESTERN-DEL requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, either Biology or Agricultural Science and Geography.

(xxiv) OSUSTECH – same as in Fisheries.

(xxv) KWASU – Same as in Mathematics.

(xxvi) MAKRUDI – Same as in Biochemistry.

(xxvii) JOS requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and one (1) other Science subject.

(xxviii) BSU accepts passes in five (5) prescribed subjects in Preliminary Science of BSU in addition to the UTME requirements.

(xxix) SOUTHWESTERN – Same as Microbiology.

(xxx) EUI requires five (5) credit passes at SSC or its equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and two (2) other Science subject.

(xxxi) FUTA requires five (5) SSC credit passes or its equivalent at a maximum of two (2) sittings in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology/Agricultural Science.

(xxxii) FED-OYE EKITI requires five (5) credits at SSC (or its equivalent) in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

(xxxiii) BAYERO accepts five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Geography or Physics.

(xxxiv) ILORIN requires five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

(xxxv) FED-LOKOJA requires Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any other Science subject.

(xxxvi) ABU requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

(xxxvii) FED-LAFIA requires Five (5) Credit passes at SSCE, GCE, NECO and NABTEB O’ Level examination in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science in not more than two sittings.

(xxxviii) FED-KASHERE requires Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

(xxxix) FED-DUTSINMA accepts Five ‘O‘ level credits to include: English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any one of Physics, Geography, Health Science or Agric. Science. A pass in Physics will be accepted.
