Cake:
1 cup white sugar
6 eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup cocoa powder
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup ground hazelnuts
Glaze:
½ cup heavy cream
1 cup dark chocolate chips

- To make the cake, mix the eggs with sugar until fluffy, at least double in volume.
- Fold in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and hazelnuts then pour the batter in a 9-inch round cake pan lined with baking paper.
- Bake the cake in the preheated oven at 350F for 40 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan then transfer on a platter.
- For the glaze, bring the cream to the boiling point then add the chocolate and mix well.
- Pour the warm glaze over the cake. Serve right away or store in the fridge.
