Your BVN is just an 11 digit number that reveals your identity. At such, anyone in possession of your BVN will get lots of details about you. By details, I mean only the details linked to your BVN. These details include your name, banks linked to your BVN, your house address, your phone number, your occupation, probably your account balance etc. With this information, the so-called person with your BVN just happened to know you better. That’s all. Scamming can only take place if the person happens to contact you and get your ATM card details from you. That is the only way your money can be taken from you.
