How to get the best possible result (all A’s) as a fresher offering a science-related course in uniben

Recently, I started writing articles to help freshers stay motivated and focused even as their academic journey begins.

I wrote an article on the mistakes freshers make in 100 level earlier on.

However, today we’ll be looking at starting your university journey in the best possible way.

I’m writing this article to expose you to the best approach on how to get the best result (i.e all A’s) as a fresher in uniben offering a science-related course.

I’ll advise you to read carefully as this will go a long way to make or mar your 100 level result as a fresher.

How to get all A’s in 100 level

 

1. Don’t depend on attending classes

Read carefully so I won’t be misinterpreted.

I’ve not said you should not attend classes if that’s one of your burning desires.

Feel free, do attend but don’t depend on your class note.

For example, PHY 111 is a course that is written by so many departments e.g elect/elect, pharmacy, medicine, chemistry, mathematics, physics etc.

The lecturers assigned to lecture your department on the course may not necessarily be among those setting the exam questions.

The course outline most times is about 90% of the contents in your textbook.

So the fact that your lecturer skipped some part doesn’t mean you should do the same. Be wise.

 

2. Attend tutorials

Tutorials came to capitalize on the inadequacies in lecturing 100 level science students (freshers) in uniben. Reading your textbook alone won’t be enough if you don’t have people to guide you and explain to you that which you can not understand on your own.

Most tutorials take pains to teach you all you need to know because of the strong competition among tutorials.

In a bid to keep their name flying, they do well to train you well.

As a fresher, it is good to attend one.

There are a lot of tutorials for freshers in UNIBEN. The likes of quintessence tutorials, Gifted hands tutorials, Boiling point tutorials etc. Do well to attend one.

 

3. Make use of past questions

At this point, I put it to you that solving a bunch of past questions will go a long way in giving you all the A’s you want if you’ve covered all the topics.

There’s nothing new under the sun. This is to say that UNIBEN hardly ever set new questions.

Getting familiar with their already existing questions will go a long way to helping you as a fresher.

 

4. Avoid unnecessary distractions/mistake

5. Read, Read and Read

I can’t emphasize this enough. It all boils than to this.

Constant reading as a fresher coupled with past questions and all you’re A’s are sure.
