½ cup tahini paste
½ cup butter softened
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
Directions (Tahini Cake Baking Recipes)
- Mix the tahini paste, butter and sugar in a bowl and give it a good mix.
- Stir in the eggs, one by one, then add the vanilla and buttermilk.
- Fold in the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt then spoon the batter in a round cake pan lined with baking paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven at 350F for 30-40 minutes or until the cake is well risen and golden brown.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan before slicing and serving.
