Direct Entry Requirements
(i) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in any of Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Agricultural Science Geography, Mathematics (pure & applied), Physics, Geology and Economics.
(ii)NCE Agriculture
UTME Requirements
Five (5) SSC credit passes in Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language plus any other Science subject.
UTME subjects
Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any other Science subject.
Remarks
DIRECT ENTRY
(i) Minna accepts ND/NCE with a minimum of lower credit plus the UTME requirements.
(ii) MINNA accepts ND/NCE credit into 200 level while those with HND may be admitted into 300 level.
(iii) MAIDUGURI accepts ND/NCE/HND and any other equivalent qualification.
(iv) UMUDIKE and DELSU same as in Agriculture.
(v) MAUTY accepts GCE `A’ Level credit passes in Chemistry, Physics and Biology/Agric. Science. HND with overall credit plus Credit passes in Chemistry & Biology/Agric. Science. OND/NCE with credit pass in Biology/Agric. Science with merit plus Chemistry. IJMB with at least 7 cumulative points in Biology/Agric. Sci., Chemistry, Physics/Mathematics.
(vi) NDU accepts
a. Passes at the GCE ‘A’ Level or HSC in three (3) of the following subjects: Biology, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Economics or Mathematics;
b. ND in Agriculture or Fisheries;
c. upper or lower credit HND/ND. In some cases, depending on the candidates CGPA, he/she may be recommended for admission into 300 level.
(vii) BENIN – As in Agricultural Economics.
(viii) EBSU – As in Landscape Management
(ix) LAPAI – As in Agriculture
(x) RSUST in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements accepts:
(a) OND (Upper Credit) in related.
(b) NCE holders with credit passes in Biology or Agric Science may be admitted into Second Year.
(c) Two (2) HSC/GCE ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and Biology.
(xi) PHC accepts Two (2) A/level GCE or HSC or JUPEB or IJMB passes in Agricultural Science and any one from Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Economics including UTME entry requirements. OND (Upper Credit) in Agriculture from a recognized Institution including UTME entry requirements. HND with at least a (Lower Credit) from a recognised institution, including UTME entry requirements for a 3-year degree programme. Diploma in Agriculture from a recognised institution with minimum of Credit Pass, including UTME entry requirements.
(xii) OOU accepts relevant ‘A’ Level passes, NCE merit passes in two (2) relevant subjects, ND/Certificate of any of the Professional Examination Bodies in Agriculture, Cooperative Business Management, Finance or other related subjects.
(xiii) UNIOSUN accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and one (1) from Biology, Agriculture, Physics, Geography and Mathematics.
(xiv) KSUSTA accepts GCE ‘A’ Level/NCE/IJMB or its equivalent in Chemistry and any one of Physics, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science with minimum of score prescribed annually by the University Senate; and ‘O’ Level credit passes in Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language as core and any two (2) of Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Electrical and Electronics, Technical Drawing. It also accepts ND/HND (at least 2.75 CGPA) in relevant area and ‘O’ Level credit passes in Chemistry, Mathematics, and English Language as core and any two (2) of Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science and Geography.
(xv) UYO accepts:
(a) ND upper credit, HND lower credit or NCE credit in relevant disciplines into 200 level.
(b) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Agricultural Science, Mathematics / Statistics, Geography.
(xvi) FED OYE-EKITI requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and one from Biology/Botany/Agric Science/Zoology/Physics.
(xvii) ABU accepts:
i) two (2) ‘A’ level / IJMB Passes in Chemistry and any of Biology, Botany, Zoology and Agricultural Science.
ii) HND in Agriculture or related field of study with a minimum of Lower credit pass.
iii) ND in Agriculture or related field of study with a minimum of Lower Credit/Merit pass.
(xviii) ILORIN accepts HND with lower credit pass in Fisheries, Agriculture or related programs from NBTE accredited Institutions.
(xix) BOWEN requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes to include Chemistry and one of Physics, Biology, Human Nutrition.
(xx) FED-GASHUA requires two (2) ‘A’ Level Passes in chemistry and one from Biology/Zoology/ Agric Science, Economics, Physics, Geography and Geology/Mathematics (Pure & Applied). It also accepts OND/ND (Upper Credit), HND (Lower credit) and NCE Merit and above into 200 Level. Gashua gives consideration to candidates with pass in Physics with credits pass in any one of Geography/Economics.
(xxi) FED-WUKARI – Candidates must obtain at least Two ‘A’ level passes at GCE/IJMB/Advanced NABTEB Or at least a Merit pass at NCE or a Lower credit at OND/HND in addition to obtaining FIVE (5) Credits at O/L including English Language andMathematics.
(xxii) FED-DUTSINMA accepts Two ‘A‘ level passes to include Chemistry and any one of Botany, Zoology and Biology/ Agricultural Science. IJMB in relevant subjects. OND/NCE in relevant fields
UTME
(i) DELSU accepts ‘O’ Level pass in English Language.
(ii) LAPAI and UMUDIKE – Same as in Agriculture.
(iii) MAUTY requires Five (5) O’Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, and any one from Physics/Geography/Economics/Fisheries.
(iv) UYO and NDU require five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Agricultural Science
(v) DELSU accepts ‘O’ Level pass in English Language with ‘O’ Level credit pass in Mathematics.
(vi) EBSU as in Landscape Technology.
(vii) BENIN as in Agricultural Economics.
(viii) PHC requires Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any one of Physics, Geography and Economics.
(ix) OOU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Agricultural Science and any other two (2) subjects.
(xi) RSUST- Same as in Animal Science.
(xii) KWASU requires five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Mathematics and Physics/Geography /Economics.
(xiii) MINNA accepts any one (1) of Physics, Geography, Economics, as the fifth subject. At least ‘O’ Level pass in Physics is required.
(xiv) KSU requires five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Mathematics, Economics or any Social Science subject and ‘O’ Level pass in Physics. ‘O’ Level credit pass in Agricultural Science must be backed up with at least ‘O’ Level pass in Biology.
(xv) BOWEN requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Fisheries/Animal Husbandry, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and one of Physics, Geography, Economics and Food and Nutrition.
(xvi)FED-GASHUA requires five (5) SSC Credit passes to include: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science and Physics.
(xvii) FED-OYE EKITI requires five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science, Mathematics and Physics/Geography/Economics. Consideration can be given to candidates with pass in Physics.
(xviii)MARITIME-UNI requires five (5) credits at SSCE or its equivalent at not more than two (2) sittings in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics/Geography, Biology/Agricultural Science.
(xix)FED-WUKARI accepts Five (5) Credits at not more than two sittings including English Language and Mathematics and any three from the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science, Physics/Geography/, Animal Husbandry/Fisheries or Forestry and obtained at SSCE, GCE O’ Level, NECO, NABTEB, or its equivalent.
(xx) ABU requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Agricultural Science.
(xxi)FED-DUTSINMA requires Five ‘O‘ Level Credits to include; English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture/Animal Husbandry/Forestry/Fisheries and any other one relevant subject.
UTME SUBJECTS
(i) BENIN – Same as in Agricultural Economics.
(ii) UMUDIKE and LAPAI and UDU – As in Agriculture.
(iii) EBSU – As in Landscape Management.
(iv) PHC requires Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any one of Physics or Mathematics or Geography or Economics.
(v) MAUTY requires Biology/Agric. Sc. and any other two of Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Economics and Mathematics.
(vi) UNIOSUN requires Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture and any other science subject.
(vi) KWASU requires Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and Mathematics/Physics.
(vii) RSUST – Same as in Animal Science.
(viii) MAKRUDI requires Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or Physics.
(ix) OOU – Biology or Agricultural Science and any other two (2) relevant subjects.
(x) LASU requires Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics.
(xi) ABU requires Chemistry, Biology and any other Science Subject.
(xii) BOWEN requires Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
(xiii)FED-GASHUA accepts Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture and any one of Physics and Mathematics.
(xiv)MAIDUGURI requires Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture and either of Physics or Mathematics.
(xv) FED-OYE EKITI requires Chemistry, Biology/Agric. and Mathematics/ Physics.
(xvi)MARITIME-UNI requires Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
(xvii) FED-WUKARI requires Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture and any one of Mathematics/Physics.
(xviii) FED-DUTSINMA requires Five ‘O’ level Credits to include; English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture/Animal Husbandry/Forestry/Fisheries and any other one relevant subject.
