¾ cup canola oil
¾ cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup plain yoghurt
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup strawberries, sliced

- Mix the canola oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla in a bowl until fluffy.
- Stir in the yoghurt and mix well then fold in the flour, cornstarch, baking powder and salt then pour the batter in a 9-inch round cake pan lined with parchment paper.
- Top the cake with fresh strawberries and bake in the preheated oven at 350F for 350-40 minutes or until it passes the toothpick tests.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan before serving.
