5 WAYS ON HOW TO LAUGH MORE
How well do you know how to laugh? Quite a funny question you may think. But, truth me, there really is a “how” to laughing and not all people knows the how.
It’s often said that laughter is the best medicine, and for a person that laughs a lot, I totally agree with that cliché.
Now, no matter what we may be going through in life, I so much believe that laughter is one thing that is needed in our lives. It really is that important.
There really are some people who are so serious about life. They seem to always take everything so seriously that they even forget to derive a little bit of humour in what they do in order to lighten things up a bit.
Now don’t get me wrong, it is really good to be serious with things, but I mean, it really doesn’t have to be a matter of life and death that you even almost forget to laugh, even at things that seem quite funny, what the hell are you by the way?
I really can’t understand why some persons don’t seem to see the humour behind something that really is funny? I mean how then will they find the humour in the ones that are not even funny? Because, of a truth, there’s really humour in everything if you look closely.
You don’t believe me? Well, you will after you’ve gone and practised what you’ll learn from this article. You don’t really have to be that grumpy looking person at all times you know. Relax and breathe, it is not the end of the world.
Do you even know that grumpy people are not really that way? They can be cheerful and happy if they want to but for some reason, their looks just don’t want to agree to that demand.
By the way, all I’m trying to say is that laughter is contagious and it is a healthy practice that needs to be done every now and then. And you know there are ways in which you can have more laughs in your life no matter what shitty things may be going on in your life presently.
So, in about a few words from now, I would be stating 5ways on how you can derive more laughter in your life on a regular basis.
You really can’t see the humour in anything if you’re not open-minded, trust me. If you’re the type that is always not open, you really cannot laugh more. You might as well see laughter as a thing that is absurd and that serious-minded people don’t indulge in such.
Well, for the record, the actual “serious-minded” people are the ones that actually know how to create humour in all they do. I mean, how would people be funny to you when you don’t see them as such in the first place. Open up your heart folk!
Laughter can alleviate your worries in a way and that will only and truly happen when you open your mind to it and get it ingested into you.
I really don’t know how, but when you’re not open-minded, people can sense it. So even if you fake a laugh, it still won’t convince them.
Life was not met to be full of so much suffering and illness. It was supposed to be fulfilling, enjoyable and full of laughter.
So instead of thinking of how miserable this life is or how it could get, just laugh over it and believe that it will get better and trust me, it sure will. Just be free and don’t allow things to get to you as they will always do if you allow them to.
DON’T ALWAYS OVERTHINK
Overthinking blocks your mind from seeing things what it appears to be. In the same vein, you won’t really be able to see the humour that exists in things. All you would be seeing is what is not actually there.
So, if you really want to have more laughs in your life, then you’ve to stop overthinking and start taking things “lightly” as though it is not the end of the world. Because really, there is no point in overthinking anything and allowing your brain to create an unnecessary picture of what is not really there.
Trust me, people that overthink don’t always derive fun moments from their lives, because they’ll as well overthink whether having a bit of fun moment is good.
I may not be the world’s best fun-getter, but I sure do know how to laugh over seemingly everything that happens around me. I might as well say that I am laugh-sick because everything can seem funny to me.
However, I do have my limits too, so don’t think if you cross my boundaries that I would just laugh over it.
That’s by the wayside. Now, all I’m saying is that learn not to overthink any issue in particular, it’s really not worth it.
ALWAYS THINK HAPPY THOUGHTS
Now I know this life we live in is full of turbulences and hurdles. However, we sure cannot deny the fact that there really are some moments in our lives that makes us smile and happy whenever we think of them. These moments are what we call “happy moments” and they sure give us hope that things will always get better.
So, these moments are paramount in making you derive more laughter into your life. Try to always make these moments into thoughts and always think of it whenever things seem not to go as it supposed to be around you.
No matter how sad or miserable your life may seem, you still cannot tell me that you’ve never had one happy moment in your life, at least one.
Well, you really cannot tell me that because every one of us goes through stuff that is quite shitty, but still, we find one way or the other to create some fun and happy moments that will make us laugh and smile.
You know, it’s always cute whenever we are having such thoughts because it creates so much relaxation and peace within us and that is the essence of life.
BE POSITIVELY ORIENTED
This also means being positively minded in whatever you do. No matter how vivid or obvious you think the negative side is to things, do not key into such misconception because that’s what it really is—a misconception!
Now tell me. How can you think of laughing and freeing your mind when all you see is negativity, how? You really cannot do that because both of those things are 2 contradictory things that can’t exist together—it never can.
I know there are some people around you who will make you feel or think that negativity will always exist in everything and as such, it should always be put into consideration.
Well for the record, just know that you’ll always see what you want or what you think you would see out of any situation. So whether it is negative or positive, it is up to you. It is all in your hands to choose what you really want.
So here’s a little piece of advice; always be positive-minded because it will help you to laugh over things that think can pull you or take you down. By this, you’ll become happier and laughter will be abundant in your life.
MINGLE WITH CHEERFUL PEOPLE
You know, the kind of people you move with will also and always affect your life. Whether you’re conscious of it or not, they will always have an influence on your life, be they positive or negative.
So, that is why it’s really good to mingle with the right set of people that will have a positive, lasting effect in your life because if you really allow it, people will affect your life badly and negatively.
Learn to always move with those selected few, cheerful persons that will always light up your day and bring out the cheers and smiles in you.
You really will not be laughing much if all you’ve around you are grumpy and sad looking people. All they want is to be serious and not even try to have a few fun moments in their lives.
If you lack those kinds of people in your life, then search closer for them and mingle. Just a day with those kinds of people will make you laugh and be happy as you’ve never been in your life.
So dear, don’t be so into yourself. Move out, socialize and make friends with happy, cheerful-looking people and you’ll begin to see how well and happy and cheerful you would get.
