Without much ado, let me expose you to the easy things I’ve been doing to improve my life on a daily basis.

Focus on the present
We are often distracted with thoughts about the past and the future that we forget what we can control at the moment.
If you want to change your life, learn to live in the present. Don’t hold on to the past, leave it where it belongs. Also, worry less about the future.
At all times, our life is decided by the actions taken in the present. Not the fantasies of the future nor the mistakes of the past.
For every day you wake up in the morning healthy and strong, be happy for a new day and the gift of life.
We hear news of death cases every now and then due to different circumstances. If you’re lucky to be among the living, that’s more than enough reason to be grateful.
Any reason for not doing what needs to be done is an excuse. So, make the most of whatever you want at the moment.
There is no need to worry excessively over what you can’t control. Let go of whatever is beyond your control.
A new path will surely unfold when you learn to always focus on the present and do what needs to be done.

Set healthy boundaries
This might seem difficult for some people. However, it’s very important you learn to set healthy boundaries in your relationship with people.
Boundaries are what keep us at peace rather than making us insane. Without healthy boundaries, all the burden of people you know will be yours to shoulder.
If you want to improve your life positively, it will be wise of you to set healthy boundaries in your life.
Learn to not displease yourself all in the name of you want to please people. Don’t be afraid to say “no” when the situation of things demands it.
It’s good to always make people around you as happy as possible, no doubt. However, you don’t have to do everything everyone wants you to do simply because you want to keep them happy.
Man wants are insatiable. For this reason, people will never be 100% happy no matter what you do for them. They will always find something to complain about.

When you don’t develop the habit of forgiveness, you end up making more mistakes instead of correcting the mistakes you made.

This is something practised by only a few people. Meditation has many benefits and you don’t necessarily need to meditate for a long time to enjoy it.
It’s simply a short period of time when you started feeling much more connected to the universe and higher self (about 5 to 15 minutes).
If meditation is not really your thing, then take at least 30 minutes of your day to be quiet and take advantage of the silence to spend time with yourself.
With meditation, you can get rid of those things disturbing your mind (at least temporarily). Also, it helps relieve stress which enables you to focus on things that matter. Thereby, improving your life.

Whether you want to stay trapped in a vengeful vengeance or free from it, it’s all up to you. It’s my duty to tell you to choose the latter.
Remember resentment and revenge will kill you slowly. You’re the only who can decide for yourself; always choose peace.

This applies to people, situations and yourself.
Don’t be quick to judge people, situations and yourself harshly.
Instead, it’s best you try to understand and think things the way they are rather than worry over what you can’t change.
However, if there’s something you don’t like and it is within your control, it’s for the best you change it.
Don’t let things drain your energy. It is usually not worth it and does nothing to improve your life.
Your energy is too invaluable to be lost in things that affect your well being in a negative way.
There’s something called vibe. This help to tell you if the energy you are feeling is a positive or a negative one.
You certainly don’t want the negative energy to dominate your life.
Don’t be too quick to judge people (your self included) harshly. We are all fighting battles. Be kind to people as this will help improve your life.

The first step in achieving anything in life is believing. How will you believe when your faith and hope is dead?
Never lose faith in yourself, in your goals, in life and in the universe.
One thing peculiar to humans is free will. Don’t be like the tree that do not think. You have the power to improve your life for the better.
Have faith and hope that whatever you set aside to achieve will be fruitful. This will lead you to believe and in turn lead you to act and improve your life.
Don’t ever give up even when you have failed over and over again. Your breakthrough is around the corner.

Practising self-care is not an act of promoting selfishness. Rather, it is an act to enable you to not be too selfless to a fault.
It is not uncommon to see many selfless people do so much to make other people happy except themselves.
This is not wrong. However, when you start going out of your way to make everyone comfortable by investing your time, energy and resources to help others have a better life, then something is wrong somewhere.

Read a positive book daily
Books are concentrated sources of wisdom. The more book you read, the more wisdom you are exposed to, the more you improve your life.
This is not to say you should go out there and start reading any book you lay your hands on.
If it must be a book you want to read, then it should preach positivity. Be it books about personal/self-development, relationship, health and fitness etc.
For those who don’t know these types of books, I’ll advise you lay hands on any Brain Tracy’s book. You won’t regret it, trust me.
When you are reading a positive book daily, you feed your brain with more knowledge, your mind with more peace. This helps to improve your life drastically.

Pick up a new good hobby
Improving your life is all about getting better than you were the previous day.
Beyond your usual favourite hobbies, is there not something new you can pick up? Be it a sport or a random hobby?
Then it’s for the best you do it. This helps keep you mentally strong because you get to learn new things with this process.
Learning something new requires you to stretch yourself in all aspects be it physical, mentally, emotionally etc.

Take up a new course
This is similar to the previous point. For both cases, you get to learn something new which helps to keep you mentally strong and in turn improve your life for the better.
If there’s any new course you can join, I’ll advise you to do so and create time for it.
Courses are a great way to gain new knowledge and skill.
It doesn’t have to be a long course. Seminars and various workshops also serve this purpose.

We all have one thing or another we are afraid of when growing. As we grow these things tends to reduce drastically and at such our life improve simultaneously.
Be it fear of uncertainty, fear of public speaking, fear of risk etc. All these fears keep us in the same position and prevent us from improving our life.
Each fear conquered is growth in itself. Reasons being that your fears reflect areas where you can grow. I always see fear as a compass for growth.

Do not be deceived, real growth always comes with hard work and sweat. Being too comfortable help prevent this growth by making us stagnant.

Leave that place and put your self in that position where you have no choice but to work hard.

When you wake up early, you get extra hours of the day to utilize and be productive.
It’s one secret most successful people know and practice. Don’t spend more of the morning sleeping if you want to improve your life.

Though you can’t completely avoid negative people, it’s for the best you don’t spend too much of your time around them.

With this consciousness, you’ll be able to learn easily from them. However, if it’s proving difficult, speak to them. They will be more than willing to help.
