Let’s be real here and face the fact, that most of us are so damn lazy. For some reason, every one of us has a trait of laziness inside of us, even the so-called hardworking people still get to be lazy on a few occasions of their lives.
Being lazy seems comforting and cosy. You know that state of being in inertia, the state of doing nothing and just whiling away time. It seems convenient and right.
No doubt, a great number of us would prefer to be lying flat doing nothing than actually getting our assses out there and working for what we want. If laziness was a way to success, most of us will careless about working hard.
They would rather be successful through laziness, than through hard work. But as it is, laziness will only ruin your life and everything that exists with it. And you know the thing about laziness, it can come first as a harmless pretty homeless child. However, yielding to it, in the long run, will wreak havoc in your life.
WHAT DIFFERENTIATE A HARDWORKING PERSON FROM A LAZY PERSON
Now the one thing that differentiates a hardworking person from a lazy person is willingness. Willingness does make a whole difference between these two sets of persons.
So I would say willingness is the thin line that exists between a lazy person and a hard-working one. A lazy person who is willing becomes hardworking and a hardworking person who is not willing becomes lazy.
And also, your choices have a role to play in deciding which one you want. Despite all the many talks on how hard work is an essential factor for success, most people still choose to be lazy. I say “choose” because all that happens to us is based on the choices we’ve made. Nothing happens to us by chance, and by this, we are the architect of our lives.
People choose to be lazy because they feel that they can not put up with the many stress and strings that go with being hardworking. The thought of going through so much all in the name of getting to success repels them from trying to do something about their lives.
These are part of the reasons there seem to be a lot more lazy persons than hardworking ones. We’ll want to be successful, to enjoy life at its fullest without any hindrances or impediments. However, we can’t just be all this if we choose to be lazy, rather than hardworking.
And you know another thing about lazy people. They’re masters of excuses, oh damn! They’ll always have something to say to excuse their lazy behaviours and wouldn’t feel any form of guilt for it.
As a matter of fact, they enjoy giving excuses and blaming others for their current predicament. They wouldn’t mind telling a little lie, here and there just to make people believe their story and feel sorry for them.
But you see a hardworking person is in for no excuse, whatsoever. Even if he has all the excuses to excuse his behaviours and bad decisions, he still makes sure he doesn’t allow them to come in his way of wanting to work for what he wants.
So yes, the number of lazy people keeps increasing by the second of the day, while those who are hardworking keep declining.
Outside the reason that I stated earlier on, below are some other reasons we have more lazy people than hardworking people in our world today:
THEY LOVE BEING LAZY
People love being lazy. Not that they love to admit this fact, but that’s just it. They cannot bear the thought of going through the tedious and wearisome process of working hard. The fact that more people love being lazy is a major reason we’ve so many more lazy people walking on this earth. That lazy star puts a lot of us a thrill. We feel it is how the world is supposed to be. However, we fail to realize how deadly this can be to our mental health and self-development. It’ll never lead to any good, trust me, it’ll only cause more ruin.
LAZINESS GIVES FALSE COMFORT
One thing about laziness is that it gives this sense of comfort, which is false anyways. However, most people fail to realize that it’s false. People would prefer to enjoy false comfort while it lasts rather than actually get out of their comfort zone. They feel it’s not possible to enjoy comfort out of one comfort zone, so they would rather stay and enjoy the comfort that laziness offers.
Many people fall for this trick of laziness, that’s why the number of hardworking individuals declines by the day. Some of us have registered in our hearts and minds that laziness offers the best kind of comfort that could even exist.
This is so not true. You may be enjoying the so-called comfort now, but then just know that later or sooner, you’ll suffer for such “comfort” that you choose to enjoy. As we all know, nothing last forever, and this applies too to the false comfort that laziness brings. If you really want to enjoy true comfort, then stop being lazy and work hard for the kind of life you want to live eventually.
Then, and only then will you be able to enjoy true comfort that has no consequences whatsoever.
THEY PREFER THE EASY WAY OUT
It’s nothing surprising that most of us do prefer to take the easy way out than to actually take the drudgery and tedious part to success, which of course is hard work. We want to always take things easy and gently, that’s the more reason we grab a hold of laziness whenever we have the chance to.
It appears that laziness seems to offer this easy way out, which again is false. Laziness doesn’t really offer the easy way out, it’s just manipulative and would want you to believe that its ways are quite easy and non-harmful. Again, this is not as it seems, it’s just a fallacy.
HARDWORK TAKES SO MUCH ENERGY, SO THEY CAN’T AFFORD THAT
Yeah, it is true that hard work takes so much energy. Not just energy, but everything else that exists within. For this reason, most people cannot afford to expend the expensive energy that hard work wants. It’s just too much work for them and they don’t seem to like the idea of working too much and putting in so much energy at that.
It’s not what they planned on doing, so they don’t do it anyways. That’s why lazy people tend to be more than those that are hardworking. Hard work without a doubt takes so much, it’s not what you just do at your leisure, it’s more than that. Hard work can become even painful as it gets. These are the many reasons some people wouldn’t want to even get into such an agonizing process.
But then, how would you get to your success if you choose not to be hard working? There are really no shortcuts to success, in case you don’t know. It’s either you choose now to walk that long path or you can choose not to and live average for the rest of your life.
THEY SEEM TO BELIEVE THAT HARD WORK IS A NEVER ENDING JOURNEY
Even if hard work appears to be a thing that you’ve to keep doing for the rest of your life, it doesn’t mean you would have time for yourself and for others too. However, most people don’t know this. They believe that once you start to be hard working, then you would have to be hard working for the rest of your life without having time to breathe or take a break.
With this knowledge in mind, they would rather stay lazy and enjoy their relaxation and resting time. It’s not as if they did something that merits their resting and relaxation. They just love to rest even when they haven’t worked, and that’s what laziness is, isn’t it?
People don’t like the idea of a thing not having an end, so for this reason, they would rather put their own ends to it or not even do it in the first place. This is why many of us would prefer to become lazy than to become hardworking, even though we fully know the consequences that come along with being lazy.
